This is a page about PROJECTION, not a body count. The convictions are FACT; the Pizzagate-to-QAnon panic is FACT; the throughline — the loudest child-protection accusers include the actual abusers, and the 'family values' halo supplies cover — is the argued pattern, PROBABLY TRUE.

A movement manufactured a fake Democratic pedophile ring — Pizzagate — then built QAnon and 'Save the Children' on it.
FACT
2016: 'Pizzagate' falsely claimed hacked Podesta emails exposed a Democratic child sex-ring at the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria. Debunked by D.C. police and every serious outlet; still, a man fired a rifle inside the restaurant to 'investigate.' It spread on the alt-right/conservative internet among people demanding Clinton's prosecution, and is generally considered the predecessor to QAnon and 'Save the Children' — the seed of the 2020s 'groomer' rhetoric.

The man who ran the Family Research Council's lobbying arm — Josh Duggar — is a convicted federal child-sex-abuse-material offender.
FACT
Josh Duggar, '19 Kids' eldest and a face of Christian 'family values,' was executive director of FRC Action (2013–2015). He resigned after reports he molested underage girls (2000–2004, ages 12–16), including four sisters. In 2021 he was convicted in federal court of receiving/possessing child sexual abuse material and sentenced to 12 years 7 months + 20 years supervised release. The literal 'family values' lobbyist, a convicted child sex offender.

The longest-serving Republican House Speaker — Dennis Hastert — was called a 'serial child molester' from the bench.
FACT
Hastert (R-Ill.), Speaker 1999–2007 and a former teacher/wrestling coach, was sentenced in 2016 to 15 months for illegally structuring bank withdrawals — hush money to a former student he'd sexually abused. He wasn't charged with the sex crimes (statute of limitations), but the abuse of teenage boys he coached was established in court, and the judge described a 'serial child molester.' A pillar of the 'family values' GOP.

The throughline: projection and deflection — and the halo is the cover.
PROBABLY TRUE
The movement that invented a Democratic pedophile ring and brands opponents 'groomers' has documented, convicted abusers in its own leadership; and the 'family values' halo — trust extended to churches, Christian schools, youth ministries, 'values' politicians — is precisely the access an abuser exploits. PROBABLY TRUE as a pattern: projection-as-strategy plus trusted-institution-as-cover, argued not asserted. NOT a claim that one group offends more — only that accusation and crime keep sharing a roof.
§7 · Why it matters now
The accusation was the cover.
Every hour hunting an imaginary ring under a pizzeria is an hour not spent on documented abuse in real institutions — and the 'family values' brand that powers the accusation is the same brand that hands abusers a pulpit, a classroom, and the benefit of the doubt. When the loudest accuser is also the convicted offender, the accusation was never the point. We name only what's documented, make no base-rate claim, and add cases (including women, and institutional abuse) only as each verifies.
