A senior Israeli cybersecurity official was arrested in a Las Vegas child-sex sting, posted routine bail, and left the country before his arraignment. Charged, not convicted — and the story is the gap, not a fixed case.

The rules didn't have to be bent — the ordinary rules were enough. A felony charge, routine bail, an international border, and a country that doesn't extradite its nationals add up to a man who may never face the court.

Arrested in a two-week LVMPD/FBI sting targeting people soliciting minors; charged with luring a child for a sex act.

Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, a director in the Cyber Defense Division of Israel's National Cyber Security Authority, was in Las Vegas for Black Hat (Aug. 2025). He was one of eight men arrested and charged with a felony carrying up to ten years (Henderson, NV case #25-14695). The arrest and charge are documented; guilt is a separate question.
§5 · Graded Claim
Standard bail, no federal intervention — and then he was gone.
FACT
He posted $10,000 bail; the Clark County DA said it was standard with no special treatment, and the State Department said the federal government did not intervene. He then failed to appear at his Aug. 27 arraignment, having returned to Israel. Including those official statements is the point: an ordinary bail used to leave — not a fixed case.

He has not been convicted and his attorney said he'll fight the charge; we treat guilt as un-adjudicated. What's not in dispute is the structural failure: a serious felony, routine bail, an international exit, and uncertain extradition.

Why it matters.

That's the accountability gap the hub tracks: the seams between jurisdictions, and the resources to use them, that let some people opt out of the system the rest of us are subject to.
